Welcome to MPG!

MPG is an extracurricular embedded systems program offered by Engenuics at the University of Calgary and expanding to other universities across Canada with "MPG Remote." It is now in its 12th consecutive year at the U of C and has grown to become a unique supplementary curriculum for students in 2nd, 3rd and 4th year Electrical, Computer and Software engineering. MPG is taught free-of-charge though students may purchase their own development board used in each course at cost. Learn more about MPG here. Why would you want to join MPG as a student? Check out the information here.

MPG on your transcript AND $1500 bursary program

New for 2012! Three MPG positions are now eligible for the U of C co-curricular record so participation in the program is captured on your transcript. To find out how to qualify, check out the position descriptions here or visit leadership.ucalgary.ca and search for "MPG." Be sure to read the requirements to qualify for this credit. Other universities are welcome to use these for your own CCR - please email for help!  The same criteria will be used to identify candidates for the MPG student bursary worth $500.  There is an additional $500 bursary available to student leaders, and another $500 for the most successful IEEE Student branch that runs an MPG Remote program in Canada.

NEW: Submit your designs, get $50

There have been some great projects out of MPG that we want to share with the world. Engenuics will pay you $50 to submit your project so we can feature it online. Full details can be found here.

The 2012 MPG Level 2 class

The technical side of MPG is definitely beneficial and the networking side is also extremely valuable. Over 700 students have experienced MPG and it is pretty safe to say that everyone has had a great time! Industry support is very important to MPG: check out this year's contributors here!
